Artist statement:

Created using sculpted mushrooms made from reclaimed plastic bottles, this photogram records the intricate interplay of light and shadow. The work forms part of an ongoing material dialogue with plastic, transforming waste into organic imagery that reflects on ecology, transformation, and environmental futures. Inspired by mycoremediation, the regenerative process through which certain mushroom species break down and restore damaged environments, the forms reimagine discarded plastic as living, organic structures that speak to renewal and ecological possibility.
